Washington University in St. Louis has eight campuses — Danforth, Medical, West, North, South, 560 Music Center, Lewis Center and Tyson Research Center — all of which welcome visitors under varying hours and circumstances. News media are welcome in all public areas of the Danforth Campus and may attend all non-ticketed events open to the public without prior permission. When planning a campus visit, we suggest checking with the University in advance so that your trip here will be productive. We will work with news media to arrange interviews, provide access and parking, locate information and research helpful data.

Washington University supports the free and open expression of ideas and opinions by our faculty, students, and other members of the University community, and we encourage members of our community to agree to interviews and to participate as expert resources on timely news stories. Washington University faculty and students have the right to speak with news media without the presence or permission of University officials.

• News Media Visits — The University welcomes news media to our campuses. Please refer to our Media Visit Guidelines for detailed information about directions, parking, areas that are not public, use of auxiliary lighting, etc.
• Contacting Faculty — We have a number of faculty experts on literally hundreds of topics who can be identified and contacted by going to: http://news-info.wustl.edu/experts/. The University also publishes a directory of community members on our Web site at: http://www.wustl.edu/directory.html. Both Web sites provide telephone and E-mail information that is helpful in contacting these individuals.
• Contacting News Media — The University encourages our faculty to work with news media, and the Public Affairs Office can be of assistance in doing so. Please refer to Working Successfully with News Media for suggestions on ways to proceed.
