Soussan says this year's presidential election is very important to the future. "It's important to me that one day my own children are allowed the opportunity to grow up in a country like I did, with the same, if not better, access to public education, with civil liberties, the right to choose, and the comfort of knowing that their government is there for them. My role in the debate and on campus during this election cycle is to drum up support for the Kerry-Edwards ticket and to tap into the energy that's here. We realize how important young voters are in the 2004 election, and we know that our efforts can and will make a difference."
Soussan leads the College Democrats (http://www.collegedems.com) . This past summer she interned in the Washington, D.C. office of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (Dem-NY).
