Ross
Ross
Ross has an interest in health policy and resolving health-care disparities. He has delivered lectures, sponsored symposiums and produced educational videos on eliminating medical disparities. Over the past three years, he has served as president of the Mound City Medical Forum, a leading minority medical organization that promotes elimination of medical disparities. He serves as a commissioner for the St. Louis Regional Health Commission and as a board member of the Missouri Foundation for Health, one of the nation's largest health-care foundations. He also served as the health care consultant for the area's African American newspaper, the St. Louis American.

Instead of sleeping in, some School of Medicine students spend their Saturday mornings providing free health care to residents of the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood. From 9 a.m.-noon each Saturday, teams of students and one volunteer attending physician from the School of Medicine see walk-in patients at the Family Care Health Center at 4352 Manchester Ave.
