WHO: Hugh Foley, Ph.D., associate professor of communications and fine arts at Rogers State University

WHEN: Thursday, April 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. Foley will be available for interviews the morning of the lecture. Please call to schedule a time.

WHY: "This is a very controversial topic in the greater St. Louis region due to the retirement of Chief Illiniwek at the University of Illinois," says Dana Klar, interim director of the Kathryn M. Buder Center for American Indian Studies at Washington University. "Foley will address this issue on many levels, and discuss it as a multi-faceted issue, rather than one with just a clear 'right or wrong' response."

WHERE: Washington University's Louderman Hall, Room 458.

Directions: Take Forest Park Parkway west and turn left onto Hoyt Drive. Make an immediate right onto Throop Drive and park in the covered parking lot on the right. Take the stairs up to campus. Louderman Hall is just east of the Women's Building.

Please contact Jessica Martin (314-935-5251 or 314-302-2844) for an interview time or parking pass.
