Author Kelly Link to read for The Writing Program Reading Series April 5

March 29, 2007 -- Acclaimed author Kelly Link will read from her work at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 5, for The Writing Program Reading Series at Washington University.

The reading is free and open to the public and takes place in Hurst Lounge, located on the second floor of Duncker Hall, in the northeast corner of Brookings Quadrangle. For more information, call (314) 935-7130.

Link's debut story collection, Stranger Things Happen, was a Firecracker nominee, a Village Voice Favorite Book and a Salon Book of the Year. Her second collection, Magic for Beginners, was published in July 2005. It was a Best of Book Sense 2005 pick, and was selected for best of the year lists by Time Magazine, Salon, Boldtype, Village Voice, San Francisco Chronicle and The Capitol Times. She also edited the anthology, Trampoline. Link and her husband, Gavin Grant, are the founders of Small Beer Press.
