Women's self-defense class offered

Jan. 19, 2007 -- The WUSTL Police Department is offering a free women's self-defense class on consecutive Saturdays from 9 a.m.-noon beginning Jan. 27 in the south classroom building at the Athletic Complex.

This is a 12-hour comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.

The class will continue on Feb. 3, 10 and 17.
