Bollywood stars to give talk Nov. 29

WHO: Internationally acclaimed Bollywood actress and prominent social activist Shabana Azmi ,and her husband, celebrated scripwriter Javed Akhtar. Azmi is a five-time recipient of the Indian equivalent of the Oscar, and has received international awards for peace and social justice. Most recently, she was awarded the International Gandhi Peace Prize, an honor she shares with such people as the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu.

WHAT: Media is invited to cover Azmi's talk on "Bollywood and Beyond," which will explore South Asian social issues filtered through her perspective as a film star and social justice activist. The talk is free and open to the public.

WHERE: Washington University's Danforth Campus, Graham Chapel, just north of Mallinckrodt Center (6445 Forsyth Blvd.)
