Win a Black Rep season pass

By Andy Clendennen

Nov. 9, 2006 -- In celebration of The Black Rep's 30th season, the Univer-sity's Diversity Initiative is giving away 30 Season PassPorts to University faculty and staff.

Each Season PassPort consists of five ticket vouchers redeemable at any time during the theater's 2007 season. Entrants must register, and winners will be selected in a random drawing. The deadline for entry is Dec. 1.

To register for the season passes, visit aisweb.wustl.edu/Chancellor/BlackRep.nsf/form?OpenForm.

"The Black Rep is one of St. Louis' cultural gems," said Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton, who along with his wife, Risa Zwerling Wrighton, co-chairs The Black Rep's 30th Anniversary Celebration Committee.

The 30th anniversary season, which begins in January, features "Ain't Misbehavin'," "Crossin' Over," "Gem of the Ocean," "The Dance on Widow's Row" and "Guys and Dolls."

The Diversity Initiative was launched in July 2005. This initiative included the creation of a Coordinating Council for Diversity Initiatives and the appointment of Leah Merrifield as special assistant to the chancellor for diversity initiatives.

The focus of the initiative is to increase racial diversity and improve the gender balance among the University's faculty and staff.
