Architects of the National Research Council's roadmap for the energy future meet with top officers of energy companies in St. Louis today

WHO: Mark S. Wrighton, chancellor of Washington University in St. Louis and vice chair of the National Research Council committee on America's Energy Future (AEF);

Maxine L. Savitz, AEF committee member, vice president of the National Academy of Engineering, and member of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology;

Charles K. Ebinger, director of the Energy Security Initiative, senior fellow of the Brookings Institution, and former energy policy advisor to more than 50 governments;

Martha Schlicher, vice president, biofuels, Monsanto;

Steven F. Leer, president and CEO, Arch Coal;

Fred Palmer, senior vice president of government relations, Peabody Energy; and

Dan Cole, senior vice president, Ameren Corp., among others.

WHAT: Symposium on "America's Energy Future: Technology and Transformation," the capstone report from the National Research Council that sets out a roadmap for investing in clean energy technologies over the next decade.

WHERE: Washington University's May Auditorium in Simon Hall, the first building to your right as you turn onto Olympian Way from Forsyth Boulevard.

Limited media parking available in the Danforth University Center's underground garage.

To get to the underground garage, take Forsyth Boulevard. From Forsyth, if heading east, turn left onto Wallace Drive, which leads into the Danforth University Center Parking Garage.

If heading west on Forsyth, turn right on to Wallace Drive. Take elevator in garage to second floor of the Danforth University Center and head to northern end of building.
