WUSTL flag at half-staff in honor of Benjamin F. Edwards III

April 24, 2009 -- Benjamin F. Edwards III, Washington University trustee emeritus and former chairman, chief executive officer and president of A.G. Edwards Inc., died Monday, April 20, 2009, from prostate cancer. He was 77.

The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, April 27, at Powell Symphony Hall, 718 N. Grand Blvd. The family will also welcome friends from 12 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at the Bogey Club, 9266 Clayton Road. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Covenant Theological Seminary, 12330 Conway Road, St. Louis, Mo., 63141.
