Red vs. Blue post-debate event

The Red vs. Blue post-debate event will be held at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 2 in Graham Chapel.

Sponsored by Congress of the South 40 and Student Union, the event will focus on debate reaction by two political opinion-makers – Jonah Goldberg, syndicated columnist and author, and Peter Beinart, journalist and editor-at-large for The New Republic.

The two will watch the debate in Graham Chapel with students and then lead a program to assess and dissect what the candidates meant by the things they said during the debate.

“We hope it will be a light-hearted, funny, yet informative program that can provide students a fresh angle on interpreting the debate,” said Brittany Perez, president of Student Union.

The event is open to anyone with a Washington University ID. To attend, one must pick up a free ticket in the Student Union office at the Danforth University Center.

Students may choose to both watch the debate and attend the event in Graham Chapel, or they may watch the debate elsewhere and then come for the post event.
