Washington U. repeats as D-3 champ

Tyler Nading had 20 points and eight rebounds Saturday as WUSTL won its second consecutive NCAA Division III men's national championship, beating Richard Stockton 61-52.

Cyclists at risk for bone loss

The low-impact nature of cycling isn't conducive to building strong bones. Adding high-impact exercises can ease the risks of injury. WUSTL exercise physiologist Andrew Coggan comments.

Editorial debate with Georgia State University president Carl Patton on the cost and need for colleges to have a big-time football program to do well. WUSTL and the University of Chicago are cited as institutions that "...manage to maintain high academic rankings without big-time football."

Drake, Washington U. stars set pace for Academic All-Americans

WU senior forward chosen by ESPN as Academic All-American

WUSTL senior forward Troy Ruths heads the 2008 ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America men's basketball teams. Ruths is the Academic All-American of the Year for the second straight year in the college division and carries a 4.0 grade-point average in computer science.

St. Louis' Washington University has two shots in D-III

WUSTL men's and women's basketball teams vie for simultaneous NCAA championships.

Today's USA Today includes a story on WUSTL men's and women's basketball teams that are both competing in this week's NCAA Divisiioni III final four.
Men's coach Mark Edwards and women's coach Nancy Fahey both comment.

Ability is the issue -- not orientation

Homosexuality a non-issue for WUSTL football players.

ESPN senior writer LZ Granderson writes about how college and professional athletes respond to openly gay teammates. He says the fact that defensive end Adam Goslin is gay isn't an issue at WUSTL.

Wash U wins Rose-Hulman quad

WUSTL women's track and field team opened the 2005 season by winning the Rose-Hulman Quad in Terre Haute, Ind. The Bears women registered 128 points, just ahead of host Rose-Hulman Institute of the Technology. The WUSTL men placed third with 107 points, while Rose-Hulman won the meet with 164 points.
