2007 -- Should weather conditions create potentially hazardous travel conditions, Washington University will evaluate the situation and take into consideration the safety of the University's faculty, staff and students as well as the services that must be provided despite the inclement weather.

 WUSTL tabs Leah Merrifield to be special assistant for diversity initiatives

In an effort to strengthen diversity among the students, faculty and staff at Washington University in St. Louis, Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton has appointed Leah Merrifield as special assistant to the chancellor for diversity initiatives. Merrifield, director of community relations in the Office of Governmental and Community Relations, will assume her new position July 1. She will report to Wrighton.

Prenatt named vice chancellor
May 16, 2003 — Ann Prenatt, previously the executive director of human resources, is named vice chancellor for human resources and also assumes a position on the University Council.

Tuition remission benefit sparks high enrollment
Dec. 6, 2002 — When a 100 percent tuition remission plan for full-time University employees taking undergraduate courses and programs went into effect this summer, most people thought the reaction would be positive. But no one expected to see University College enrollment jump from about 90 undergraduate students to more than 650.
