Women who undergo breast reconstruction after cancer surgery are twice as likely to develop an infection

Women who undergo breast reconstruction after cancer surgery are twice as likely to develop an infection at the surgical site if they are given a prosthetic implant instead of their own tissue, say researchers at Washington University in St Louis.
