Ex-Congressman Gephardt to join law firm

ST. LOUIS -- Former Congressman Dick Gephardt is joining a law firm where he will work as a senior counselor within its government affairs practice.
Gephardt, 64, who also twice ran for the Democratic presidential nomination, will work part-time for DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary in Washington, D.C. He has also formed a new strategic consulting firm, Gephardt & Associates.
In addition, Gephardt has been named advisory board chairman for the Richard A. Gephardt Institute for Public Service at Washington University in St. Louis. The nonpartisan center is aimed at promoting public service.
